The Role: Second Chef – Heathfield – Risingholme Court TN21 8GB
Rate of Pay: £10.50 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week 7.30am – 3.30pm
Working Days: 2 days over 7 – Generally Monday and Tuesday
Job Description:
Are you passionate about food, people and want to be part of our team in the Heathfield Area? If you are an innovative, trendy, sociable and dynamic person who enjoys working in an educational catering environment offering all modern food trends then this could be the role for you!
You will be covering our Chef Manager and will be on hand to support both operationally to ensure the smooth running on a day to day basis. You will be working within Assisted Living Developments, where all the food is prepared with fresh ingredients daily.
You will have a minimum of 1 year’s experience in a contract catering/catering environment. This is a great opportunity for a Chef to grow and potentially venture into a management role. You will be proactive and ‘hands-on’ in your working style, an efficient team member; always building rapport with your team and your customers and hold fundamental ethics on always delivering excellent professional customer service.
We are looking for a real team player with excellent culinary skills; a strong knowledge in building GP margins/creating menus and costings as well as writing/working to a budget. Experience in using online accounting/stock control software is also desirable.
This is a position with occasional events out of hours.
Safeguarding is of the utmost importance to Churchill therefore you will be required to complete a full DBS Clearance.
