Location: Billingshurst

Details

This role is to support a man. Driver’s licence required: Yes. Own vehicle needed: Yes.

Hours per week: 10 hours per week. Hours to be worked on Tuesday, Friday and one day over the weekend. Exact times to be agreed with employer.

I am a 20 yr. old man with Autism & Learning needs living with my parents, my two sisters and our dogs in a remote area near Billingshurst. I am looking for a PA to assist me to access my local community, attend exercise and activities I enjoy and to promote my independence. I am a very sociable and easy-going person and love cinema, swimming, shopping and Sonic the Hedgehog. I also like helping people so would love it if you could help me to find somewhere I could volunteer for a few hours each week. I get anxious in large crowds and queues, and I don’t like unpredictable sounds, they make me nervous. On Mon, Wed & Thurs I attend Brinsbury College to study Animal Care.

  • Assist me to attend exercise-based activities I enjoy such as swimming and walking, also to accompany me to the cinema and shopping
  • Encourage me to keep in contact with my friends and to feel more comfortable using my mobile
  • Walk my dogs with me in the fields around my house
  • Help to improve social and community related skills
  • Other relevant duties as required
