Supply Teacher

Location: York and surrounding areas. Start Date: Easter 2026 or sooner. Contract: Supply / Short‑Term / Long‑Term Assignments.

GSL Education are looking for qualified secondary teachers to provide supply cover across schools in York and the surrounding areas, including Easingwold, Selby, and rural villages.

We work with a wide range of settings, from mainstream secondary schools to specialist provisions supporting pupils with SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), SEMH needs, and other learning challenges.

About the Role
  • Deliver lessons across your subject specialism(s) in line with the school's curriculum and policies.
  • Support pupils' learning and engagement in both mainstream and specialist environments, where appropriate.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of learners with a variety of learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with school staff to maintain high standards of behaviour, safety, and progress.
  • Provide a reliable and professional presence in the classroom, supporting continuity of learning.
We Are Looking For
  • Qualified secondary teachers (QTS or QTLS required).
  • Confident teaching across Key Stage 3 & 4.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work in a range of school environments, including mainstream and specialist settings.
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for supporting all learners to achieve their potential.
