A leading food wholesaler in the UK is seeking a motivated individual to manage supplier relationships and optimize service levels. The candidate should have excellent communication and negotiation skills along with a strong focus on customer service. Candidates with procurement or supply chain experience are preferred, and full training will be provided. This role offers opportunities for flexible working and is committed to diversity and inclusion.
To be successful in this role you will have to be an excellent communicator with ability to negotiate and influence at all levels for both internal and external stakeholders.
You will have excellent organisation and time management skills, be able to prioritise and keep to tight deadlines.
You’ll have a strong customer service orientation, good analytical skills, intermediate/advanced knowledge of Excel, and strong attention to detail.
Work on your own initiative with a pro-active approach to tasks and be able to think outside the box when it comes to problem solving.
Ideally, you will have had some previous procurement or supply chain/retail experience and some knowledge of supply chain ordering systems, sales forecasting experience, but full training will be given.
GCSE or equivalent Maths and English grade C or above.
Desirable: Suitable supply chain professional qualification or an interest in studying for one or educated to degree level.
