Job Description

Our client, a leading Food manufacturer, is urgently looking for a Supply Chain Lead to join their site in Coventry and manage their overall inbound and outbound supply chain processes.

You will lead a team to ensure the adequate supply of raw materials and packaging for production, as well as oversee the timely dispatch of finished products to meet customer service levels.

On Offer:

• Salary circa £45K to £50K + 10% Bonus
• The role will be based onsite in the Coventry area
• 25 leave days + 8 bank holidays

Key responsibilities:

1. Manage planning, procurement, production, inventory control, internal logistics, and distribution to customers and third-party storage.
2. Maximize service levels and customer satisfaction while maintaining control of inventory levels.
3. Manage lead times on all procurement requirements.
4. Lead the team to meet agreed KPI standards and manage according to budget and operational capacity.
5. Ensure production forecasts and promotional activities are clearly communicated to all relevant departments in a timely manner to ensure the site is adequately resourced.
6. Monitor stock levels and track products.

Candidate requirements:

• A degree or relevant professional qualification.
• At least 3 to 5 years of supply chain experience in a Food or Drinks manufacturing environment.
• Experience in Purchasing, Inventory Management, Materials Planning, Stock Replenishment, or Outbound Logistics management in an FMCG environment.
• Effective people management and leadership skills.
• ERP systems experience, with SAP being a strong advantage.
