A leading housing association in the UK is seeking a Supply Chain Director to lead strategic transformation and oversee supply chain management. The role focuses on establishing a robust supply chain framework, ensuring compliance and driving efficiency. Ideal candidates should possess extensive senior leadership experience, strong commercial acumen, and exceptional stakeholder management skills. This position offers a permanent full-time contract with a hybrid working model and a competitive salary structure depending on experience.
Title: Supply Chain Director
Contract Type: Permanent 35 hours Full-Time
Salary: Circa 110000 per annum (London weighted salary) or Circa 95000 per annum (Regional salary) dependant on experience
Grade: 14
Reporting Office: London Stratford or Manchester Trafford
Persona: Agile Worker : 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office / working location (hybrid working)

Interview Dates: 1st stage interviews will take place w / c 3rd November 2025 followed by 2nd stage interviews taking place W / C 17th November 2025 for those successful at first interview. Please note that in person interviews will be held for at least one of the interview stages for this role.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a strategic transformation of Supply Chain management across one of the UKs leading Housing Associations. As Supply Chain Director you’ll be at the heart of shaping how L&Q buys manages and collaborates with suppliers driving innovation efficiency and resilience across our entire organisation.
You wont be managing tenders or day-to-day procurement delivery. Instead you’ll be setting the strategic tone for Supply Chain activity across L&Q operating within a hub and spoke model. You’ll focus on developing the Group wide Supply Chain framework including alignment to corporate strategy relevant legislation and including the approach to category management.
This is a key leadership role in L&Q which will have real impact in leading the central Supply Chain hub team where working closely with the Commercial spoke teams and wider business you’ll ensure the Supply Chain framework is fully implemented and subject to continuous improvement.
L&Q is evolving. With increasing complexity in our operations and growing regulatory demands we need a strategic leader who can bring clarity consistency and innovation to the management of our Supply Chain. This role is critical to ensuring how we buy services is not only compliant but also future-ready supporting our mission to create better homes and communities.
You’ll lead a small but high-impact central Supply Chain team (Hub) and provide strong leadership performance management and direction to the leadership of the commercial Spoke teams on the execution of the Supply Chain Framework fostering a culture of collaboration accountability and continuous improvement. You’ll be collaborating with senior leaders across the business but also represent L&Q externally in industry forums.
