ABOUT THIS ROLE

Airbus Procurement Operations – Equipment (PIE) manages the supply chain of complex high‑value aircraft systems. Our department (PIEL) manages approximately 50 suppliers worldwide delivering landing gear, fuel & inerting systems for installation on all Airbus commercial aircraft and some fuel equipment installed on the A400M aircraft.

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
  • Act as focal point towards suppliers for operational activities and contract management and as ambassador of the supplier toward internal functions.
  • Manage supply chain and quality aspects of contracts, responsible for On Time On Quality (and on cost when applicable) performance.
  • Manage supplier quality approval/authorisation, ensuring suppliers are compliant with required certifications in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor or support new product introduction to ensure industrial qualification maturity before serial phase.
  • Assess supplier capacity, capability & performance and contribute to supplier development.
  • Identify suppliers' industrial risks and propose mitigation actions.
  • Work out short‑term recovery plans.
  • Initiate and manage supplier performance improvement projects, set long‑term development targets together with suppliers and in coordination with the Supplier Development Team.
  • Contribute to annual Supplier Evaluation Development.
  • Present the situation of suppliers on operational performance (KPIs) during MFT/MDT meetings.
  • Maintain close communication and coordination with operational teams at internal customer sites to ensure the contribution of all relevant functions to the delivery of procured goods or services.
  • Assess suppliers during the tendering phase and contribute to the selection decision.
