Overview

Supplier Quality Engineer role for a dynamic packaging company specializing in the supply of general and bespoke packaging solutions including bags, printed and corrugated products. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to global supply chain quality, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to quality standards as well as manufacturing process improvement. What You Will Do

• Proactively identify and address potential supply chain issues to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with global suppliers to implement, enhance, and maintain quality procedures and processes.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct supplier audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented to maintain high standards.
• Travel globally, focusing on visiting supplier sites to ensure quality standards are met and provide support for improvements.
• Balance technical challenges, collaborative work, and international exposure, with an average of up to 20% overseas travel required.

What You Will Bring

• A proven track record in a similar role within packaging / print / film / conversion or transferable manufacturing industry; manufacturing experience is essential. Practical experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, with a focus on quality systems and supplier management.
• Solid understanding of quality processes and a history of implementing and improving quality procedures.
• Experience in conducting supplier audits and supporting corrective actions based on audit findings.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the flexibility and adaptability for frequent overseas travel.

You will have current or recent experience working in similar roles such as Quality control, QC engineer, QC technician, quality inspection engineer, quality engineer, quality technician or quality management.

Industry / process experience in packaging, flexible packaging, conversion, printing, film, corrugated, flexographic.
