Overview

We are looking for a supportive, customer focussed team player to join our Community Equipment Service within Adult Social Care as Supervisor.

Westmorland and Furness Council's Community Equipment Service currently holds equipment in 14,500 homes across the area. You’ll be joining the team that works with both Health and Social Care Services to provide, install and maintain Community Equipment to help people stay active, comfortable and independent in their home.

Responsibilities
  • Supervision, training and support of the wider team, including our community and buildings-based staff, for example, Operations Coordinators, Maintenance, Warehouse and Driver Technicians, ensuring a high quality, cost effective, service to the people of Westmorland & Furness.
  • Promote effective inter-team collaboration and partner with other services to deliver equipment provision.
  • Maintain Health and Safety with incident reporting and risk assessments; identify issues and implement solutions; work with your team to improve the service.
