What does a Social Worker do at Hillingdon?

About you

We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic newly qualified social workers who are looking to start their careers in a OUTSTANDING local authority. Hillingdon children’s services are embarking on a journey to becoming a trauma informed service and we need social workers who have insight and dedication to join us.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide regular supervision, guidance and support to approved foster carers.
  • Complete statutory visits, annual foster carer reviews and quality assessments.
  • Safeguard children by identifying and responding to risk, concerns and allegations.
  • Contribute to placement stability, matching and support planning.
  • Maintain accurate, timely case recording and reports.
  • Work collaboratively with children’s social workers, partner agencies and fostering panel.
  • Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in fostering practice.
  • Participate in out‑of‑hours duty and rotas as required.
