Job description

EF Brighton Junior Summer School is searching for an energetic, organised and confident individual to join our team as an Activities & Events Manager for summer 2026.

In this role, you will lead the planning and delivery of a full programme of activities, events and excursions, creating a thrilling and engaging experience for our international students while guiding and motivating a team of local and international activity leaders.

  • Full‑time
  • 6 days a week
  • Fixed‑term contract between June – August 2026
  • Accommodation and full board provided if necessary

Responsibilities
  • Working with the summer management team to deliver an exceptional experience to our students, you will have the overall responsibility for the activities and events programme.
  • You will be directly involved in shaping our students’ experiences. Planning and delivering everything from interactive games for small groups to large wow events of over 1000 students.
  • You will be supporting a team of local and international leaders in ensuring all activities give the students a sense of the local culture, whilst being safe and unforgettable fun at the same time.
  • To be part of the Emergency Phone rotation.
  • Set rotas for Activity Leaders.
  • Lead feedback sessions on activities and events, always with goal of optimising student experience.
  • On a daily basis, you will be part of a diverse team and community; liaising with our local suppliers as well as motivating and shaping your team of leaders to create the summer of a lifetime for every student. No two days will be the same; you will go from completing schedules and administrative tasks to jumping on stage at the disco to fire up the crowd.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership skills with some management/team leading experience required.
  • Commitment to the highest level of customer service.
  • Sociable and fun disposition with the ability to motivate and energise others.
  • Financial and business acumen.
  • English fluency and excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Ability to work and thrive under pressure.
  • A flexible approach to work and hours of work undertaken is essential.
  • Is a trained First Aider (preferable but not essential).
  • Experience with 10-14 year olds (preferable but not essential).
  • All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references.
  • Right to work in the UK on commencement of employment.
  • This is a live‑in position where accommodation and full board is provided at no extra cost, there are some residential requirements attached to this.
