Job Profile

Due to growth, an experienced Claims Technician is required to join a Subsidence Team where you will provide Technical Building claims solutions and support to a team of Surveyors and Claims Management Team.

Main duties include:

  • Communicating with customers, contractors, and insurer clients via telephone, email, and written correspondence
  • Managing third-party companies for vegetation removal and drain repairs to mitigate subsidence damage
  • Updating and creating building repair scopes using in-house schedules of rates
  • Negotiating cash settlements for repairs with policyholders
  • Managing panel contractors, repair schedules, and costs
  • Settling claims under delegated authority
  • Previous experience in subsidence/building insurance claims, extensive trade experience (5+ years), or graduate building surveyor
  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
  • Computer literacy with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Flexible, self-motivated team player with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
