Job summary

Qualifications

Role Summary:

We are looking for Subject Matter Experts with understanding of Level 2/14-16 and Level 3/16-19 qualification content and assessments that motivate our learners and ensure accurate graded achievement. Responsibilities/Typical Tasks
  • You would be asked to comment constructively on qualification proposals, units and assessments and offer resolutions to any issues that may arise.
  • Working alongside wider qualification development team including expert writers
  • Commenting on the appropriateness of sector/subject content within the qualification(s)/unit(s)
  • Contributing to scoping activities to determine the appropriateness of the proposed qualification(s)
  • Reviewing qualification subject/sector content and sample assessment materials appropriate for the subject/sector.
Experience and Qualifications Required

Essential
  • Must have an understanding and experience of teaching and/or working within BSL/EDI linked to learners aged 14-16/16-19.
  • Must have a good understanding of vocational learning and assessment in the sector.
Desirable
  • You have written and/or quality assured educational materials and are adept at reviewing and assisting in quality assurance of educational materials.
  • Industry experience not required but preferred
  • This is a temporary position for a current project development.
Experience/qualifications needed
  • Have recent relevant teaching and/or working experience
  • Have been educated to a level 4 standard with relevant qualifications
  • Have good written communication skills particularly in your sector/subject area of choice
  • Confident use of IT
  • Have an ability to work to tight deadlines
