Are you a Senior Engineer / Sub Agent looking to transition into a preconstruction role?

I am working with a well respected civil engineering contractor who is looking to transition a Senior Engineer / Sub Agent into a preconstruction-focused role. In this role, you will support the successful delivery of heavy civil engineering projects by taking a lead role in pricing works, preparing tenders, planning execution, and managing delivery on site. This position bridges operational and commercial functions, ensuring that works are accurately costed, efficiently managed, and completed to required safety, quality, and programme standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Pricing & Tendering
• Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and pricing schedules for civil engineering works packages.
• Evaluate technical drawings, specifications, and client requirements to determine cost implications.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and validate scope.
• Assist in developing tender submissions, method statements, programme proposals, and risk assessments.
• Support bid reviews and handover from pre-construction to delivery teams.
