Student Support Advisor (TTO) – Watford, Hertfordshire

Salary: £24,129

Contract: Permanent

Are you a compassionate and proactive individual who thrives on helping others succeed? Join our supportive and high-performing Student Support team and play a key role in empowering students to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Responsibilities
  • Work directly with students to support wellbeing, engagement in education, and preparation for the world of work.
  • Collaborate with curriculum and support teams to design and deliver tailored intervention sessions, both one-to-one and in small groups.
  • Monitor and manage a caseload, including students with mental health and wellbeing needs; maintain accurate safeguarding and welfare records.
  • Liaise with parents/carers and external professionals to develop holistic support plans as part of a multi-agency approach.
  • Ensure a strong understanding of students\' support needs; upskill as needed (MHFA training provided if not already held).
  • Contribute to a positive college environment and support students with barriers to learning to thrive in college and beyond.
  • Work on a term-time schedule based at Barnfield College campus in Luton, with occasional travel to other sites.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development to upskill in this role.
