This is an opportunity to develop, challenge yourself, and contribute to something extraordinary. If you share our racer’s spirit and want to write the next chapter in Aston Martin Aramco’s history, join us – where every team member plays a crucial role in our success, and your growth is as important as our achievements.
Performance is at the heart of everything we do. From optimising car setups to developing tools and simulations that guide future design, our performance teams ensure we extract every fraction of a second from our Formula One car. Our Performance departments combine cutting-edge simulation, modelling, optimisation and data analysis.
Working closely with trackside engineers, design teams, and aerodynamics, performance placements are uniquely positioned to see how their work translates into real-world results on race weekends – and, through Aston Martin Performance Technologies, how F1 methods can also shape projects beyond the sport.
We’re offering placements across several engineering areas. Whichever team you join, you’ll contribute to real projects that shape the performance of our Formula One cars. Within your application, you’ll be asked to select your top three preferred roles from this advert, and your top one favourite.
Performance Analysis - Work on the analysis of simulation data to understand and improve car behaviour. You’ll support projects across multiple groups, helping to refine methodologies and develop insights that influence car development.
Performance Development - Support the creation and improvement of simulation tools and analysis methods that guide car development. You’ll help translate ideas into working concepts, using simulation and rig testing to push the boundaries of performance.
Performance Optimisation - Support the optimisation of car setup by collating inputs from across performance engineering groups. You’ll help Mission Control and Trackside Performance make data-driven decisions during test and race events, while also contributing to tool and method development.
AMPT Vehicle Performance (Aston Martin Performance Technologies) - Apply F1 simulation and modelling methodologies to projects beyond Formula One, from other motorsport categories to automotive industries. You’ll help develop advanced tools and methods to guide car performance, translate ideas into working concepts using simulation and rig testing, and contribute to growing AMPT’s vehicle dynamics capability. This role is ideal if you’re curious about how F1 performance optimisation can be applied to a wider engineering landscape.
