Role Overview

A significant aspect of the role involves connecting students with the University's specialist services, ensuring they benefit from a holistic, wraparound support network. Drawing on data from various systems, the Student Coach will track engagement, maintain ongoing communication, and help enhance students' confidence, independence and sense of belonging within the Royal Holloway community. Creativity, initiative and adaptability will be vital.

Required Experience & Skills

Applicants should have experience offering advice or guidance within a Further or Higher Education setting, and demonstrate empathy, patience and genuine care in their approach. Significant experience of communicating with students and stakeholders. They will have experience of using reporting tools, manipulating data and analysing large data sets to identify trends.

Student Success Coach Role

Royal Holloway Business School is recruiting a full-time Student Success Coach to play a central role in supporting students throughout their academic journey. The role holder will identify and work proactively with students who need additional support and those who may be at risk of leaving the University. A major emphasis of the position is in helping students adjust to university life while strengthening overall retention and progression.

The role holder will work closely with students through regular one-to-one meetings to understand their needs. Collaboration with academic staff-including personal tutors, senior tutors and module leaders-will be key to ensuring students receive consistent, joined-up support.
