Qualifications

• Fully competent to STE4 level (or working towards).
• Prepared to travel and work nationwide.
• Ideally, an IRATA qualification (up to Rope Access Supervisor L3).

Job Overview

As a Structures Examiner for BES Infrastructure, you will conduct inspections, investigations and surveys on a wide range of infrastructure civil engineering assets across the rail sector. You will use specialist access to inspect and examine a variety of structures throughout the UK in accordance with the required technical standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe and successful delivery of Structural Inspections, Investigations and Surveys.
• Support pre‑work planning activities, including attendance at pre‑site visits, liaison with landowners, agents or contractors, and review and acceptance of proposed safe systems of work.
• Prepare inspection reports, including the production of drawings within CAD.
• Work as part of a growing team on railway infrastructure.
• Ensure the successful completion of Structural Inspections and Investigations for BES Infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Structures Examiner role.
• Knowledge of Rail Inspection Regulations.
• Fully competent to STE4 level (or working towards).
• Prepared to travel and work nationwide.
• The ability to work at height and within confined spaces.
• Full UK Driving licence.
• Ideally, an IRATA qualification (up to Rope Access Supervisor L3).
