Inspiring Teachers is an evidence-driven nonprofit working to expand access to quality education. We are building tools for managing large-scale foundational learning programs in Sub-Saharan Africa. Our approach enhances structured pedagogy with technology to enable data-driven teacher support that improves learning outcomes. Today we have programs in Ghana, Uganda and Malawi, but over the next decade our ambition is to provide tools that improve outcomes for millions of children.

Join a growing, ambitious Product Team at Inspiring Teachers, which currently consists of 6 members working remotely across African, EU and US timezones, and is responsible for the development of an offline-first mobile app for teachers, school leaders and field staff, and a management dashboard for field staff and district managers.

Your work will help ensure our pedagogy is accessible, scalable, and usable across diverse school contexts, supporting Inspiring Teachers’s mission to improve learning outcomes at scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-develop high-quality teaching and learner materials for Inspiring Teachers’ foundational literacy and numeracy programmes.
  • Support the creation and implementation of Inspiring Teachers’ design systems, ensuring coherence and excellence across all print materials and digital platforms.
  • Use AI tools for content generation (including imagery, reading texts, literacy and numeracy activities) by designing models and workflows that empower all team members to leverage AI effectively.
  • Produce illustrations and short animations that bring Inspiring Teachers’ materials to life in engaging, culturally relevant, and visually consistent ways.
  • Collaborate regularly with the Design and Product Teams via Slack, Figma, and Google Meet, with occasional in-person sessions (approximately 2–4 times per year).
  • Contribute creative ideas and demonstrate a proactive, collaborative mindset.
  • Support the innovation of Inspiring Teachers’ design and product quality.
