We are recruiting for a Structural Manager to be an integral part of the team: This role can will be based in either Sunderland or Chorley depending on the distance of the individual (TBD).

Your Key Responsibilities
- Wholly accountable for the quality of Civil/ Structural engineering output, and on‑time delivery in accordance with project requirements.
- Ensure all Civil/ Structural designs are code compliant, meet specification, safe in design, and consider lifecycle requirements.
- Support Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Bids with information and guidance.
- Work closely with other Department Heads in the business to ensure synergy.
- Promote Civil/ Structural/ equipment standardisation and re-use.
- Line management responsibilities and duties across multiple sites; responsible for departmental performance and setting objectives to meet business and individual goals.
- Development of Civil/ Structural engineering tools and processes that ensure designs are robust and outputs in line with scope.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- BEng (Hons) in Engineering (preferably Civil or Structural)
- Chartered Engineer (CEng, preferably ICE or IStructE)
- Strong experience in a Civil/ Structural engineering field.
- Knowledge of the construction & process industries and applicable standards.
- Ability to use structural analytical software unaided (STAAD Pro or TEKLA Structures preferred).
- Ability to interpret Site Investigation reports and identify civil implications.
- Happy to travel between the two sites in the North West and North East a couple of times a month.
