A leading European steel manufacturer is seeking a Structural Engineer in Scunthorpe. The successful candidate will provide specialist engineering support across various projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities include delivering structural engineering for maintenance and CAPEX projects alongside overseeing contractor management. The ideal applicant will hold a relevant engineering degree and possess proven experience in structural engineering within heavy industrial environments, with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
Salary – Up to £53,000.00
Location – Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN16 1XA
Pattern of Work – 42 hours, Monday – Friday
This role provides specialist Structural Engineering support across the British Steel business, contributing to and leading a range of work‑based, maintenance, investment (MM) and CAPEX projects. The jobholder will play a key role in ensuring that all structural engineering activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard.
They will be responsible for upholding business requirements in the areas of safety, technical performance, quality, financial control, compliance and project delivery, ensuring all work aligns with company standards and expectations.
