Job description

Contract : 12 months

We’re seeking an experienced Structural / Stress Engineer to support complex structural analysis activities on safety‑critical and regulated engineering projects. The role involves delivering high‑quality finite element analysis and clear substantiation reports to inform robust engineering and design decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural and stress analysis to support design substantiation in regulated or safety‑critical environments
  • Deliver seismic assessments, including response spectrum and time‑history analysis where required
  • Provide blast, shock, or impact analysis support as needed
  • Build, run, and interpret finite element models using LS‑DYNA and / or ANSYS
  • Produce clear, traceable calculation packs, technical reports, and engineering recommendations
  • Collaborate with design, project, and multi‑disciplinary teams to resolve technical challenges
Key Requirements
  • Experience working in regulated or safety‑critical engineering sectors (e.g. nuclear, defence, aerospace, oil & gas, heavy industry)
  • Strong background in structural analysis and stress engineering
  • Exposure to blast, shock, or nonlinear dynamic analysis (or strong relevant transferable experience)
  • Proficiency with LS‑DYNA and / or ANSYS
  • Ability to work autonomously and produce auditable, high‑quality engineering documentation
