Job type: Permanent, full-time

Working Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7am-3.15pm + occasional weekend work and overtime

Salary: £24,193.31 per annum + excellent benefits

Here at Serco we have an exciting opportunity for a Street Van Driver to join our street cleansing team. With a professional, dedicated, and friendly team of Refuse and Recycling and Street Cleansing staff, we ensure that streets, homes, and businesses are kept clean, safe and tidy, whilst providing the very best levels of customer service to all members of the community that we serve. Responsibilities

• Sweep pavements/roads
• Empty litter/dog waste bins
• Load and transport vehicles

Using your experience of street cleansing you will be responsible for the daily inspection and reporting procedure for machinery, prior and on completion of usage, including vehicles. You will be responsible for the cleanliness of machines and vehicles, ensuring that Health and Safety guidelines are observed at all times.

What you'll need to do the role

First and foremost this role will include the use of a 3.5T sweeper, so you will already hold a full and clean UK driving licence.

You will need to be self motivated with the willingness to undertake further training.

This role can see you walking long distances daily so you must be physically fit.
