Overview

Here at Serco we have an exciting opportunity for a Street Van Driver to join our street cleansing team. You will work within a professional, dedicated and friendly team of Refuse and Recycling and Street Cleansing staff, helping keep streets, homes and businesses clean, safe and tidy while delivering high standards of customer service to the community.

We are looking for a like-minded individual to join our team of essential key workers and contribute to a positive difference in the environment we all live and work in.

Responsibilities

• Sweep pavements and roads
• Empty litter and dog waste bins
• Load and transport vehicles
• Carry out daily inspection and reporting procedures for machinery and vehicles
• Maintain cleanliness of machines and vehicles and observe Health and Safety guidelines at all times

What you’ll need to do the role

• Full and clean UK driving licence to operate a 3.5T sweeper
• Willingness to undertake further training and self-motivation
• Physical fitness to walk long distances daily
