Procurement Sourcing Manager - Strategic Sourcing Lead – London - Utilities

Job Description

As a Strategic Sourcing Lead, you will be proactively involved in procuring high-value goods and services. You will buy IT, consulting, MRO and agency etc. You will manage both CAPEX and OPEX across all procurement activities.

• Responsible for maximizing value through procurement by strategically managing the UK supplier spend and identifying opportunities that drive sustainable improvement in cost, quality, service, and innovation.
• You will be involved in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management and Procurement excellence. You will have to build strong supplier relationships.
• Involved in managing procurement processes across the team and help to drive improvements.
• Working in a matrix environment with exposure to global sourcing activities and partnering with the wider business.
• Proactively enable commercially viable sourcing strategies and efficiency levers for spend in remit
• Ideally have knowledge of IT category management as a key area, but be a generalist procurement professional
• Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to meet organisational goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

• As a Sourcing / Procurement lead you will have.
• At least 5 - 7 years of procurement / sourcing experience in buying goods and services, including (not limited to) IT, consultancy, FM, travel, General expenses, Civil maintenance contracts, Equipment and equipment refurbishments, particularly high-value contracts and call-off term contracts. You would have ideally worked in the utilities/ energy sector.
• Must have working knowledge of ERP system with a track record of delivering process improvements and automation.
• Essential knowledge of standard consultancy contracts, licensing contracts, service contracts, head of terms
• Ideally you will have set up a category understand CAPEX Procurement and Ideally will have working knowledge of SAP Ariba
