Job summary

A leading logistics firm in Hemel Hempstead seeks a Planning & Logistics Specialist to maintain the accuracy of order book and production planning. This role involves managing order book administration, ensuring sales and production orders are accurately loaded into systems, and supporting logistics processes. Ideal candidates will have planning, logistics, or production control experience in manufacturing environments. Salary is up to £30,000 per annum.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a planning, logistics, scheduling or production control role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems, experience with Javelin is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple work orders and priorities.
  • Confident communicator able to work cross-functionally with teams.
  • Proactive mindset with an interest in process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage order book administration and ensure accuracy in Javelin.
  • Plan, schedule, and release shop orders based on MRP outputs.
  • Prepare production documentation for the shop floor.
  • Track and update production work orders in line with schedule changes.
  • Support Customer Service with dispatch and shipping documentation.
