Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead high performing Growth Squads across research, digital innovation, and population health.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to unlock funding, drive strategic projects, and translate national policy into local impact.
• Launch and scale impactful research and innovation projects.
• Drive preventative healthcare models and reduce health inequalities.
• Lead on intellectual property, regulatory governance, and strategic grant pipelines.
• Foster partnerships with NHS leaders, commercial innovators, academia, and patients.
• Lead the Agile PMO, embedding a growth mindset across the R&I landscape.
• Manage financial performance and unlock external funding.
• Spearhead performance reporting, impact analysis, and KPI frameworks.

Qualifications / Experience

• Experience leading agile, cross-functional teams to deliver real-world impact.
• Strong grasp of research governance, funding strategy, or health innovation.
• Ability to scale innovations that improve lives and reduce costs.
• Commercial mindset with problem-solving skills and the ability to influence at all levels (patients, clinicians, executives, funders).
• Background from clinical fields (nursing, medicine, AHP, pharmacy) or non-clinical powerhouses (data, digital, finance, health economics) welcomed.
