Store Person (Temporary - Immediate Start)

Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary (Potential to become permanent for the right candidate)

Start Date: ASAP

Our client is urgently seeking an experienced and reliable Store Person to join their busy Stores Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into a fast‑paced, hands‑on role with the potential for long‑term employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive goods into inventory and accurately locate them using internal systems.
  • Pick materials in line with production requirements and distribute to relevant departments.
  • Produce spare kits and replenish lineside stock as per standard procedures.
  • Support daily cycle counting and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Create and manage Kanban systems to support supply chain and production flow.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality, and housekeeping.
  • Assist with training and support of colleagues as needed.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Valid and in‑date Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Goods‑In or Store Person role.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong computer literacy, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physically able to handle manual handling tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Working Hours
  • Monday & Tuesday: 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (½ hour unpaid lunch)
  • Wednesday & Thursday: 6:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. (½ hour unpaid lunch)
  • Overtime: Available
