Job description

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Stores Person in HMP Humber, Sands Lane, Brough HU15 2JZ. The salary is £26,141.95. The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. Staff are required to work on a rota basis between 08:00 – 17:00 Monday‑Friday (finish at 16:00 Friday).

At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons. By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.

What you will do:

• Control of stock
• Delivery of items in a timely manner to prisoners and around the prison to staff
• Supervise prisoners working in the Stores
• Collect any items locally as and when required

What you will bring:

• Comfortable working alongside prisoners
• IT skills
• Driving licence is essential
• Knowledge of manual handling is desirable
• Experience working within a similar stock/store room environment
