Stores Operative

Salary: £26,070 per annum

Location: Alton

Hours: 8am to 4pm Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Duration: Permanent

Syntech Recruitment are proud to be supporting an aviation overhaul and repair business based in Alton, who are looking to strengthen their team with a Stores Operative.

Stores Operative Duties:
  • Receiving and unpacking deliveries from customers
  • Booking goods in using the MRP system
  • Picking and preparing parts and units for the workshop engineers
  • Reading and checking seal numbers on components
  • General storekeeping duties to ensure smooth workflow in the business
Stores Operative Profile:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or manufacturing environment (aviation experience desirable but not essential)
  • Good attention to detail and a sensible, practical approach to work
  • Strong organisational skills and reliability
  • Forklift experience (Reach Truck licence desirable – training provided if needed)
  • Computer literacy for booking goods in and updating records

This role would suit someone hands-on, methodical, and eager to support workshop operations through effective stores management.
