Overview
Frasers is a department store group recruiting for a Store Manager to lead our brand new multi‑facia store in Peterborough. The role is full time and permanent, 45 hours per week, with shifts of 10 hours including a 1‑hour unpaid break. Shifts will vary across days, evenings and weekends to provide full flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all store operations and deliver on KPI expectations
- Plan workload to ensure a productive and efficient team
- Make confident decisions and delegate effectively
- Ensure compliance with processes and procedures while maintaining a safe and healthy environment for both the team and customers
- Assist with training and coaching the team to best practice
- Use business communication tools to monitor task completion and meet deadlines
- Use reports to ensure weekly wage controls and assist with resolving issues quickly and effectively
- Support planning of store schedules in line with trading patterns and business expectations
- Assist with payroll processing compliance and problem‑solving
- Support daily store structure to meet compliance, customer service and security standards
- Be accountable for wage control and the store in the absence of the Store Manager
- Understand business and customer expectations and motivate the team to deliver an excellent customer experience
- Understand product features and benefits and train the team to maximise sales opportunities
- Understand assigned KPI targets and support tracking against these targets while communicating to and motivating the team
- Understand the retail industry, business challenges, competitors and customers with strong commercial awareness
- Use reports to analyse and support commerciality of key products to impact sales and profitability
- Interpret merchandising guidelines to the sales floor with strong commerciality and efficiency
- Assist with identifying internal talent and support performance management processes to drive exceptional performance
- Identify performance issues and escalate professionally to the Store Manager
- Be self‑driven in personal development and take on developmental feedback constructively
- Understand and promote Frasers Group core values and coach the team to engage with these values
- Encourage feedback from the team and be a point of contact between the team and Store Manager
- Inspire the team and act as a role model; coach and motivate to achieve success
- Take responsibility for key areas to support the Store Manager and be accountable for outcomes
- Develop relationships with the store team to ensure alignment with common goals
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to contribute to the overall success of the store
- Management experience in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
- A background in fashion retail is essential
- Experience leading a large team including managing other managers and team leaders
- Ability to positively impact results in sales, payroll and stock loss
- Proven track record of developing talented individuals
- Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Commitment to supporting the Store Manager in achieving the highest store standards and customer service

Qualifications
- Management experience in a fast paced, high volume retail environment
- Background in fashion retail is essential
- Experience leading a large team including managers and team leaders
- Strong ability to drive sales, payroll control and stockloss prevention
- Proven ability to develop talented individuals and manage performance
