Job description

Role overview:

The Store Manager oversees daily operations, drives sales performance, manages a team of motivated employees, and ensures exceptional customer service to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Effectively run all store operations to meet or exceed sales & KPI targets, set clear sales goals, track performance, and evolve processes for continuous store growth.
  2. Create and maintain colleague schedules to ensure proper coverage and productivity.
  3. Create a positive team culture through recruiting, training, and developing your team, building a motivated and high-performing team to increase store success.
  4. Analyze sales data and financial reports to make quick, well-informed decisions, identifying and responding to operational and commercial opportunities.
  5. Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
  6. Attract, engage, and motivate customers using the latest visual merchandising techniques, ensuring merchandise displays are attractive and aligned with brand guidelines.
  7. Ensure your teams deliver the highest level of service to achieve a positive Net Promoter Score (NPS).
  8. Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  9. Drive existing customer loyalty programs and promotions to enhance engagement.
  10. Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  11. Monitor and control store expenses to stay within budget.
  12. Ensure the store complies with health & safety regulations.

Role objectives and KPIs:

  1. Contribute to achieving or exceeding the store's monthly sales target.
  2. Drive additional KPIs such as Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT.
  3. Achieve upselling or cross-selling targets.
  4. Maintain a high Net Promoter Score.
  5. Ensure stock accuracy during store audits.
  6. Ensure all new colleagues complete mandatory training.
  7. Maintain employee satisfaction scores or engagement survey results at or above company benchmarks.
  8. Keep operational costs within the allocated budget.

Skills and Experience:

  1. Previous management experience in a fast-paced retail or customer-facing environment.
  2. Passionate about retail with a good understanding of the latest trends and competitors.
  3. Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and developing teams.
  4. Excellent communication skills.
  5. Proven track record of managing and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  6. Experience analyzing reports and making commercial decisions.
  7. Keen eye for detail and commerciality; experience in visual merchandising is advantageous.
  8. Ability to promote JD Group values to internal and external stakeholders.
