Job Title: Store and Customer Operations Advisor (On Site)

Location: Malton

Working Hours: Monday- Friday, 8:30am - 5pm, 40 hours/week

Overview

Our client is a technology driven and specialist industrial services provider offering a range of engineering solutions and technical services to a wide variety of industries. Their Malton site is recruiting for the position of a Customer Operations Advisor.

Responsibilities
  • Use order book to expedite orders and speak to suppliers on a daily basis to ensure orders are on schedule
  • Place orders within necessary timeframes, ensuring best lead time, price and delivery times
  • Assist stores colleagues with booking in goods/deliveries, correctly allocating stock into the storeroom
  • Provide excellent customer service and assistance to the engineers on-site who attend the office
  • Complete necessary steps to enable non-stocked parts to be sourced, assess price, lead time and delivery speed and upload to the stock systems
  • Order stock required from suppliers
  • Complete manual handling of stock from deliveries to storeroom including heavier items such as motors, pumps, gas bottles
Qualifications / Essential skills
  • Competent in basic IT skills - monitoring emails, data entry, using the stock ordering systems
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced and high-pressured environment
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable in a customer-facing role
  • Experience in storerooms / stores activities desirable but not essential, preferred for familiarity with the working environment
  • Be able to meet the physical demands of the manual handling required in the role
