A regional airport authority in Liverpool is seeking a permanent Station Manager for the Rescue and Firefighting Services (RFFS) Team. Overview

Liverpool John Lennon Airport has an exciting opportunity for a permanent Station Manager within the Rescue and Firefighting Services (RFFS) Team.

We invite applications from colleagues with operational sector competence to Aviation Supervisor level who possess a sound understanding of Incident Command Systems (ICS) and Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles (JESIP).

Responsibilities

The Station Manager is an integral part of the RFFS Management Team, responsible for driving forward initiatives and business-as-usual activities in a professional, inclusive, innovative and effective manner. The role requires the ability to inspire and maintain outstanding performance from others, lead by example, and support the Senior Airport Fire Officer in meeting regulatory, statutory and legal duties. You will be committed to developing yourself and taking an active role in developing your team.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience operating in the role of RFFS Supervisor. • Evidence of appropriate operational and Incident Command experience. • Strong leadership skills and an exceptional team‑player with the ability to inspire a high‑performance team. • Highly effective communication skills and the ability to lead by example. • Commitment to Liverpool John Lennon Airport values and values understanding of Incident Command Systems and Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles.
