This is a 3 month temp to perm opportunity based in London, requiring 5 days a week in office.

Overview

Oakleaf are currently partnering with a unique business in the flexible office and commercial property sector. Operating as a dynamic, hands-on SME, they are seeking a sharp, proactive HR Manager to lead the HR function and act as a trusted advisor to the Board. This is a high-impact role covering the full HR spectrum – from recruitment and onboarding through to employee relations, compliance, and strategic projects.

With exciting changes on the horizon, you’ll play a central role in modernising HR systems and processes and embedding practices that will enhance efficiency and support their evolving business. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape the HR function and make a meaningful contribution at senior level.

This is a 3 month temp to perm opportunity

Responsibilities
  • Lead the full range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, training & development, and compliance.
  • Partner with the Board to implement HR strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Introduce and embed new systems and tools to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of consistent, compliant processes across the employee lifecycle.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and documentation reflect best practice and align with legislation.
  • Support organisational change, building engagement and managing any challenges that arise.
Requirements

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, pragmatic HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You’ll need to balance day-to-day operational delivery with longer-term strategic thinking, while building strong relationships across the business and influencing at senior level. They are looking for:

  • Proven HR management experience within a fast-paced, growing business.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience leading recruitment and developing talent pipelines.
  • Ability to design and implement HR strategies, systems, and policies.
  • Confident communicator, able to operate effectively at Board level.
  • Strong written skills for drafting policies and HR documentation.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to link HR strategy to broader business goals.
