We recruit staff that are open, honest and focused on striving for excellence, having built an enviable international reputation on five unwavering principles for clinical excellence, research and development, teaching, learning and for treating patients with compassion, respect and dignity.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for motivated, flexible and committed nurses who share our passion for caring for general surgical patients. A calm, diplomatic and caring approach and a commitment to provide high quality, safe and effective care is essential.

We care for elective and emergency surgical patients who require a wide range of surgical procedures from the following surgical specialties: urology, plastic surgery, ear, nose and throat and maxillofacial.

Support is given to all our new nurses whilst they work in the main ward area for their first 6-12 months. We offer training, flexibility, friendliness and a caring environment in which to work and provide a large number of staff benefits.

About us

We\'ve also created a digitally enabled organisation to improve clinical quality, patient & staff experience, operational effectiveness & driving research, and innovation through the introduction of Hive, our Electronic Patient Record system which launched in September 2022. We\'re proud to be a major academic Research Centre & Education provider, providing you with a robust infrastructure to encourage and facilitate high-quality research programmes. We\'re excited to be embarking on our Green Plan which sets out how MFT continues to play its part in making healthcare more sustainable.
