Staff Nurse, Ward 4, Ysbyty Cwm Cynon

The closing date is 01 October 2025

An exciting opportunity is available for band 5 Staff Nurses to join our forward thinking nursing team on Ward 4 in Ysbyty Cwm Cynon Community Hospital, situated close to Mountain Ash. The hospital supports patients with rehabilitation needs and complex discharge planning. We are looking for highly motivated and committed band 5 staff nurses to work on our rehabilitation wards to support patients in achieving a safe discharge.

We require enthusiastic, motivated individuals who have the ability and passion to work within our friendly ward team. Ysbyty Cwm Cynon is expanding its services and we require staff nurses who have the ambition to help drive these changes and broaden the service we offer.

Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the management of a group of patients, and occasionally take charge of the ward/department and its resources for the duration of their duty.
  • Be responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Be responsible for the support and supervision of junior staff.
  • Be responsible for maintaining accurate, current, comprehensive and concise records concerning the condition of the client, in accordance with NMC Standards for Record & Record Keeping and the UHB\'s Patient Record Policy.
  • Liaise with the appropriate Clinical Specialists (e.g., Doctors, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Clinical Nurse Specialists) regarding individual patient requirements and planned programmes of care.
