Overview

As a registered nurse on Victoria and Albert ward, you will be caring for cardiovascular patients and work with the MDT to provide our patients with high quality care. We have an enthusiastic group with a great team spirit that shares a common goal. You will be responsible for providing person centred nursing care that focuses on offering our patients a good experience whilst with us. We are supported by an energetic PDN team that support staff with continuous career development. We have a robust education plan and offer different courses to our staff. Victoria and Albert ward works closely with Victoria and Albert HDU and the Cardiac Recovery Unit.

Responsibilities
  • Be a safe and effective practitioner able to provide high quality nursing care to patients and support to relatives.
  • Work with support, within a multi-disciplinary team to provide continuing care to a specified group of patients from admission to discharge.
  • Supervise and teach junior members of staff and learners as appropriate.
  • Maintain own personal development with support.

Particular emphasis is put at Kings on the need to ensure that all staff recognise their responsibility to deliver services in a high quality, courteous, patient focused manner maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
