Staff Nurse – Pre Admission
Full Time – 37.5 hours per week

The role

Pinehill Hospital are currently looking for a Staff Nurse, reporting to the OPD Manager to join the OPD and PAC team. You will be an integral part of the team who are committed to delivering the highest quality clinical outcomes.

Your duties
  • Undertake pre-operative assessment of patients awaiting elective surgery across all specialities
  • The key focus is to ensure that patients are prepared physically and psychologically for a planned operative procedure, ensuring appropriate information provision and identifying potential discharge concerns.
  • The applicant is expected to be a role model for junior staff and student nurses.
  • To be an accountable practitioner, taking every opportunity to sustain and improve knowledge and professional competence
  • To provide support to the PAC Lead in effectively leading and managing the PAC department.

  • Registered with the NMC
  • Proven ability to work in a team or independently as required
  • Able to use own initiative and take charge of the PAC department / deputise for the PAC Sister in their absence
  • Flexible and committed to maintaining and improving patient experience and able to adapt to change as we continue to develop our service to meet the needs of our patients
  • Enthusiastic / promoting positive attitude at work
  • Demonstrates a good working knowledge & compliance with Ramsay Policies and CQC Standards
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
