CommonAI is redefining the way we develop deeptech AI solutions through common infrastructure and collaborative engineering. CommonAI Compute is part of the CommonAI group, delivering cost effective multi-cloud compute services for AI teams.
The UK government is investing £1Billion into AI matched by £31Billion from US tech giants and more across UK industry. The UK's Industrial Strategy sets out an ambitious AI plan, but delivering this vision requires collaboration and engagement between government and the wider ecosystem. We have formed CommonAI to deliver on that.
We are backed by VC giant Anthemis, our founders have been behind the companies like Arm, Raspberry Pi, and LowRISC that put the first open-source semiconductor chip into a high-volume consumer product. This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing company in AI and cloud computing that is bringing together commercial investment, government and research to ensure that we maximise success of AI across the UK and Europe.
Your role: We are looking for platform engineers who strive to build secure, scalable systems that are a joy to use. In this role you will be responsible for the architecture of our cloud marketplace that lets AI researchers burst their workloads out to any cloud. You’ll work deeply with small and large cloud vendors and contribute to our platform and user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement cloud infrastructure solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring that our platform is scalable, secure and resilient.
We allow flexible hybrid working, but aim for three days in the office for design and collaboration. Alternative arrangements can be made for exceptional people who live further away, although we will expect them to visit the office for team building and collaboration. Our offices are next to the Cambridge railway station with various onsite perks including a well-equipped gym.
During the hiring process we may ask you technical questions about any technologies or experience that you list on your CV.
