Job description

An exciting opportunity has become available within the Staff Development and Apprenticeship Team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital Education Centre. We need to recruit a new Staff Development and Apprenticeship Practitioner (AfC Band 4) 30 hours per week. Fixed term contract for 2 years.

Role Overview

Staff Development & Apprenticeship Practitioner is an educational role within our organisation. Leading the Chesterfield Way supports the Trust's priorities and ambitions and sets out the behaviours and characteristics that leaders are expected to adopt and that all staff can role model, to make the Trust an even better place to work; and to support the delivery of exceptional patient care. It provides a framework for leadership and supports individual progression through appraisal, career progression and personal development.

Qualifications
  • Foundation degree in health or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience delivering clinical education or having had a mentorship/ supervisory role in practice.
  • Familiar with the Care Certificate induction and its standards and able to teach new support staff on induction to the hospital, including resuscitation and vital signs.
  • Microsoft skills required to plan lessons and create PowerPoint presentations for teaching.
  • Delivery of the level 2 and level 3 healthcare apprenticeship teaching and assessing – having a TAQA qualification is essential.
