We are recruiting a ST3+ Trust grade in Cardiology on the Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU) with a special interest in acute cardiovascular medicine.
The post will be available for an initial period of 12 months, with a possibility of contract extension.
Full GMC registration with a license to practice is required.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic physician to help deliver quality emergency medical care for cardiovascular patients admitted to University of Leicester NHS Trust.
The post holder will look after patients with a variety of general and specialist cardiology conditions, offering excellent exposure for those considering a career in cardiology or a hospital‑based medical specialty.
The post will be based at Glenfield Hospital where the Clinical Decisions Unit (CDU) and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit are developing in response to increasing demand for cardiology and respiratory care. The post holder will also contribute to the outpatient service for general cardiology.
Basic salary is £51,017. Allowances for out‑of‑hours on‑call rota are included. All Trust doctors at UHL are entitled to study leave and dedicated training and study funding.
