Pracyva Limited is looking for a SQL DBA for our Esteem client. This would be a 12‑month contract. Below are the job details.

Rate : GBP 225‑250/day

Location: Chelmsford, UK

We are looking for a highly skilled, technically capable SQL DBA who can demonstrate in‑depth experience and advanced knowledge in the administration of Microsoft SQL databases in order to support delivery and BAU Operation. He should have at least 6 years of experience.

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform key DBA functions on SQL Server including design suggestion and reviewing DR run‑books and DBA daily operations.
• Working experience on SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2016.
• Performance tuning, index maintenance and active monitoring.
• Troubleshoot issues and outages, implement fixes and improvements.
• Deploy database changes/migrations.
• Experience working on Data Warehouse solutions, with the Microsoft stack (SSRS, SSIS).
• Working experience in SQL Cluster and SQL Always on.
• Extensive experience developing and supporting BI applications on SQL Server 2008/2012/2016.
• Ensure robust backup and recovery is in place and maintained.
• PowerShell scripting a plus.
