Overview

Sports & Community Lettings Assistant Manager Salary: £28,598 to £31,022. Grade: Grade 6; Point 12 - 17. Cheshire East Council NJC Pay Structure. Start Date: ASAP. Contract Type: 37 hours per week (full time), 52.134 weeks per year (rota system, including evenings and weekends). Contract Term: Permanent. Closing Date: Monday 13th October 2025, Midday. Interview Date: TBC - Friday 17th October OR W/C Monday 20th October 2025. Wilmslow High School. School age range: 11-18. Number on roll: approx. 2,000 (including 500 sixth form).

We are seeking a proactive Sports & Community Lettings Assistant Manager to provide efficient and effective support to the Physical Education and Sport Curriculum Team and the Community Lettings Manager. The post holder will, in particular, deputise for the Community Lettings Manager when required, ensure the effective supervision of High Leisure support staff, undertake key administrative functions, use and care of equipment, and the general preparation of sports areas. Sports Support Department team members will be required to work on a shift basis in order to cover both curriculum and community facility use 7 days per week. In the absence of the Community Lettings Manager, the post holder will oversee the daily operation of 'High Leisure' as directed.

Responsibilities
  • To support the Community Lettings Manager in the daily management of Sport & High Leisure
  • To provide leadership example to and supervision of members of the Sport & High Leisure Support Team
  • To administer and promote the lettings management software (Vivify)
  • To support the grounds and estate management team
  • To ensure appropriate Health and Safety procedures and protocols are in place
  • To establish and monitor staff rotas in line with the needs of the High Leisure operations
