SEN School - Empowering Learning

Empowering Learning is working in partnership with a specialist SEN school to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic PE Teaching Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional needs through physical education, promoting confidence, teamwork, and wellbeing.

The Role:
  • Support the delivery of PE lessons alongside the class teacher
  • Work with pupils with Special Educational Needs (including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH)
  • Encourage participation, engagement, and positive behaviour during physical activities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support where required
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
  • A passion for sport, physical activity, and inclusive education
  • Patient, resilient, and supportive approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Relevant qualifications or coaching experience is an advantage
