Monarch Education is currently recruiting a passionate and committed Sports Coach to work across local special schools in the Wheatley area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact through sport and physical activity in a supportive educational environment.

About the Role:

As a Sports Coach, you will support students with a range of additional needs by delivering engaging and inclusive physical education sessions. You'll help promote confidence, teamwork, and physical development in a safe and nurturing setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver sports and physical education sessions tailored to individual student needs.
  • Support classroom activities when required, encouraging positive behaviour and participation.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SEN professionals to adapt activities for accessibility.
  • Promote teamwork, resilience, and personal growth through sport.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a sports or SEN setting.
  • Background in sports coaching, physical education, or youth work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Coaching qualifications are desirable but not essential.
