Please note that the salary advertised is based on a standard salary of £24,309 - £24,685 per annum plus enhancements for evening (after 8pm) and weekend shifts.

Here at WLV Sport we are passionate about people and our 5‑year plan is to get ‘More People, More Active’. We are looking for committed, enthusiastic and driven individuals to come and join the team to help us achieve our bold ambitions.

While in the role you can expect support, guidance, and development opportunities across the whole department in areas where you would like to develop your career. Furthermore, you will be working in world‑class sports facilities that boast significant events and partnerships for you to experience and be part of.

If the above sounds like something you would be interested in, then we would love to hear from you as we currently have full‑time permanent vacancies based in Walsall.

What We Are Looking For

A team player who is passionate about sport, physical activity, and wellbeing. You will have an intrinsic drive to support people on their journey to become better versions of themselves through being active. In doing so, fitness instruction, leading group exercise classes and assisting with other sports centre duties are the norm while supporting the delivery of national and international events are also included. We provide training across all areas so don’t worry if you are not an expert in all of them; willingness to develop is a key factor in what we are looking for.

You will work on a rota basis doing mornings, evenings and weekends with core business hours starting from 6am through to 10:30pm so flexibility is paramount.

In return, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package: a generous holiday allowance of 30 days plus public holidays, pension scheme and support with additional qualifications.

For a conversation and/or a visit to the centre, please contact our Duty Manager, Jack Higgins at J.Higgins4@wlv.ac.uk. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
