Overview

University of Southampton’s Southampton Sport Team invites applications for a Sport Operations Assistant. Based at Wide Lane Sports Ground, the role supports the safe and efficient daily operation of the facilities across multiple venues including Jubilee Sport & Recreation Centre, Mayflower Gym, Wide Lane Sports Ground and Watersports Centre.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth running of the facility on a day-to-day basis.
• Deal with customer queries and provide high-quality customer service.
• Prepare equipment and resources as required.
• Follow health and safety procedures and maintain safe environments.
• Act as an ambassador for active lifestyles at the University of Southampton.

Hours: The role is open to full-time or part-time applicants. Full-time is equivalent to 36 hours per week averaged over a number of weeks. The role is based at Wide Lane Sports Ground and supports facilities open from 07:00 to 22:00 every day of the week.
