Job description

We are recruiting a Sport and Facilities Co‑ordinator at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working Hours

24 hours per week - These hours will be worked on a rotating basis, and further information on the available hours can be obtained by contacting the recruiting manager using the details provided below.

Overview

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization. We pay an attractive salary of £18,550 - £20,122 and offer access to training and development opportunities. Flexibility for evening and weekend work is essential.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support the daily operations, maintenance, and supervision of the sports facilities including the ATP, Sports Hall, Gym and Studios. Duties include equipment setup, health and safety checks, minor maintenance, and assisting with bookings and events, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all clubs and community users.

Qualifications and Experience
  • A relevant Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (for example, in a Leisure or Sport setting and Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work).
  • The ability to lead and supervise the day‑to‑day operation of a busy sport‑based facility and the services it provides to meet customer needs.
  • Experience of operating management information systems, such as Plus 2.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, additional hours and differing shift patterns.
