Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Speech and Language Tutor to join our dynamic team. You will work with children and adults who have speech, language, and communication difficulties, providing targeted support to help them reach their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver one-on-one tutoring sessions tailored to individual needs
  • Support clients with a range of communication difficulties including speech delay, language disorders, and social communication challenges
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and speech-language pathologists (SLPs) to align support strategies
  • Track progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to reports and assessments
  • Develop engaging resources and adapt learning materials
  • Foster a safe, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Experience working in speech and language support, education, or therapy settings
  • A relevant qualification in education, speech and language support, or a related field (e.g., SALT assistant certification, teaching degree, etc.)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Desirable
  • Experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
  • Knowledge of speech and language developmental milestones
  • DBS or background check clearance (required if working with children or vulnerable adults)
